The stock-holding at Zitan is extensive, incorporating ranges of large and small cabinets, through to buckets and boxes, abacus, ladder, washstand, camphorwood chests, chairs, lamps, lanterns, panels, carvings, tables, mirrors and stands. In addition to Chinese antiques which form the bulk of our stock, we have a range of clearly marked modern and contemporary Chinese items
The furniture and other items illustrated on the Zitan website have each been hand-picked in China where business relationships with our principal supplier extend more than twenty years. This supplier collects antique Chinese furniture and other pieces from throughout China, then expertly restores and polishes each piece. Items that show early repair, or the trials and tribulations of an earlier life are left as original; any restoration work carried out is minimal to ensure authenticity. The selected items are shipped to Zitan, and are listed for sale after receipt and thorough checking. Each piece of furniture or curio illustrated on this site is held in stock, thus ensuring, that when you buy from Zitan, your items can be with you as soon as you can make delivery arrangements.
