Chinese Antique Bamboo Carved Cabinet
This antique bamboo carved two-door Chinese cabinet was made in the Shandong province in Eastern China. Dating from the mid to late 19th century this is a fine example of Chinese cabinet making and would be a stylish addition to either a contemporary or traditional interior.
Inside the main section of the cabinet are two shelves which are fully adjustable and there are also two drawers. In addition there is a removable square panel. This allows TV cables etc. to be hidden down the back of the cabinet. The external drawers have brass fixings.
The cabinet appears to have bamboo sections applied to the edges but closer inspection reveals that is carving of the finest quality that creates this illusion. A quality that is subtle and understated.
