Herbalist medicine cabinet

Chinese herbalist cabinet with multiple drawers. The drawers have sections inside them and the fronts of the drawers have Chinese characters describing the herbs that would have been held inside. At the bottom are two sets of doors enclosing two cavities. It dates from the mid to late 19th century and comes from Southern China. It is made from Chinese elm. A modern use for this delightful sideboard is for crafts and hobbies, an ideal storage solution for all those bits and bobs.
