LE-155 Jiajiang book or scroll cabinet

A beautiful elegant antique Chinese cabinet which was originally used for books. It came from Fujian and was made from Chinese Elm. It dates from the mid 19th Century. The two long doors have beautiful carved panels and plain lacquer work in red, black and gold. At the sides of the doors are two long panels carved with Chinese characters. This was originally a cabinet for books and scrolls.
