Antique window panel gold lacquered coffee table

Glass topped table made from an antique Chinese window frame dating from the late 19th Century. The central panel is made from Chinese elm while the lovely carved window panel has been finished with gold lacquer.

This Chinese coffee table is a modern construction surrounding the panel, but has been worked in ancient re-claimed timbers. The glass offers protection to the carving.
