A swan head Chinese antique water ladle. It is made from Pine and dates from the late 19th Century. It comes from Ningbo. It does hold water. Used to transfer water to and from a larger swan basin. The Chinese equivalent of a “jug and bowl” There are others in stock, they do not all have lids.
